I repaired these chairs for my friend Lauren that had been broken by some of her roommates fat friends - these chairs can only hold so much weight. This is what the chairs looked like when she gave them to me. Luckily, the repair was simple enough because the seats themselves were just quarter inch plywood cut into a circle with roughly a 12” diameter.

It was supposed to be easy, but this is how things started. I honestly don’t even remember what I did to cause this.

The chairs with the seats removed

Chairs dismantled

New seats made out of plywood. The one on the right is stained with a Natural stain to enrich the color, and the one on the left is soon-to-be-stained to show the difference.

Chairs reassembled and finished!
