New version of Viridian released today, you can find it at Viridian’s Homepage.

This version has the following new features:

• Ability to export local playlists to M3U files to be read in by an Ampache Server (thanks: porthose)
• Fixes for crashing related to illegal characters in the XML (thanks: Geoffrey Anderson)
• Support for the newest Ampache Nightly builds (3.6) by correcting the way Viridian requests information from Ampache
• Fixed issues with Viridian when trying to view playlists from a server that didn’t have any playlists
• Default download directory set to ~/Downloads if the folder exists… this should have been there from the beginning
• Added ability to control Viridian with the media keys on your keyboard even when Viridian does not have focus! (thanks: Andrew Barr)

Check it out.. I just got these CDs for Ubuntu 10.10! Mike over at Lights and Shapes actually got a whole box so we can give then out at our Linux users group on campus. Right now he only has the Ubuntu and kubuntu CDs, but he should be getting the server ones soon. Check out more information about the RIT Linux Users Group.

Im trying out my friends nexus one.. I took my sim card out of my iPhone 3GS and put it in the nexus one! So far I like it a lot, and I’m posting using WordPress for android.

Check out the song Illuminate by Casey Sabol, he used to be the singer for periphery. This is his solo stuff, and it sounds amazing! He has a couple solo songs, and is supposedly working on a full length CD. His myspace went down about a month ago, so hopefully something big is coming!

I did a complete restore on my macbook, from Leopard to Snow Leopard. I backed up my personal files, deleted Leopard, loaded Snow Leopard, and basically started over. Because of this I finally had an excuse to redo my geektool setup.. so check it out!

Check out Sonia. It’s my friends band, and they just released their EP, titled “Close My Eyes”. You can preview all of the tracks on their website, and purchase the album too. I’m not 100% positive, but I’m pretty sure that you can purchase their music straight through Amazon or iTunes too!

The music itself is great, and it is always refreshing to listen to bands that have talent, and want to make good music. Check them out!
